About Us
The Menengai CFA
Menengai Community Forest Association is a community-based conservation organization working around Menengai Forest and the Menengai Caldera ecosystem in Nakuru County. Guided by the motto “Conservation for Posterity,” the association exists to protect the forest, promote sustainable use of natural resources, support community livelihoods, and strengthen the relationship between people and nature.
Our work focuses on three key pillars: Tourism, Agriculture, and Community Development. Through eco-tourism activities, sustainable farming initiatives, beekeeping, tree nursery development, environmental education, and community conservation programmes, we help ensure that Menengai remains a source of beauty, livelihood, learning, and environmental resilience.
Mission Statement
Mission
To conserve Menengai Forest through community participation, sustainable livelihoods, eco-tourism, environmental education, and responsible use of forest resources.
Primary Activities
Menengai Community Forest Association works across tourism, agriculture, and community development to create a balanced approach to conservation. Every activity is designed to protect the forest while creating value for local communities, visitors, schools, partners, and future generations.
Tourism & Tour Packages
Whether you are planning a school trip, corporate team-building day, family outing, church visit, hiking experience, or eco-tourism adventure, Menengai offers a memorable connection with nature and community.
Agriculture & Sustainable Livelihoods
We support practical conservation-based livelihoods that help communities benefit from nature while protecting it. Through beekeeping, nurseries, agroforestry, and agricultural training, Menengai becomes both a conservation area and a place of opportunity.
Community & Conservation Work
Our community work is built on participation. We educate, mobilize, and connect people so that conservation is not just a government responsibility, but a shared community mission.
